Haiku for a sick day

Yellow walnut leaves
Glow in the aqueous light
Of a rainy day.

He watches football.
A tree mascot dances, and
I fold some more cranes.

Sadness:  avoiding
Sugar and milk products, waiting
For my throat to heal.
